FAQs
The jar is made of glass, while the lid is stainless steel with a thin inner plastic lining.
How many pounds of sprouts can this grow? A full jar can yield up to 2 pounds of fresh organic sprouted greens! That is about 8 servings of sprouts—enough for 2 sprout-loving people for an entire week!
STEP 1: Pour 4-6 Tbsp of sprouting seeds (depending on the variety) into your jar + soak them in water at room temp for around 6-8 hours.
STEP 2: Once soaked, make sure the mesh lid is attached and drain the water. Tilt jar in a bowl or on a dish rack to ensure complete drainage.
STEP 3: Give your seeds a quick but thorough rinse 2x daily. Make sure to tilt the jar in between waterings to promote good airflow and drainage.
That’s it! Within a week, you’re ready to harvest! Pop a handful into your mouth + store the whole jar in the fridge.
After harvesting, you can hand clean the mesh lid with a stiff brush, hot water, and mild soap. You can run the glass jar through the dishwasher for a deep clean. Do not put the lid in the dishwasher.
